The focus of this one hour after-school program is basic, healthy snack preparation.
About Us
The program aims to provide healthy food and learning opportunities to families, children and youth, Indigenous groups, newcomers to Canada, and others. While enrolled in the program, participants receive a cooking kit with the ingredients required to make a nutritious recipe twice.
In this course you will learn about the basics of cooking, the organization of the work plan, the sharpening of knives, the different techniques of cutting and cooking vegetables
Workshops are a fun, interactive and hands on approach to learning about nutrition and health foods.
Classes are divided into topics that include Healthy Eating for Families, Healthy Eating on a Budget and Investing in Me.
