This is a hands on cooking class under the tuition of a professional chef. The class runs for 3.5 – 4 hours. You will be working as part of a small team, cooking dishes that contribute to a shared meal.
The cost of the class includes hands on tuition, a shared meal, wine/ beer, a copy of all recipes and a great time!
Our classes are fun, informative and casual. Suitable for people of any skill level.
The Golden Pig Restaurant and Cooking School is owned by Katrina and Mark Ryan. The award winning. modern Asian restaurant runs Wednesday through to Saturday. The Golden Pig Restaurant was awarded a Good Food Guide Chef's Hat in 2019.
The cooking school runs Sundays an Mondays and offers hands-on cooking classes in a variety of popular cuisines.
General classes are open to the public and we also offer specialised classes and events that can be tailored to suit private or corporate groups and special occasion classes. Our classes aim to be informative, educational and fun at the same time.
The Golden Pig is located in a spacious, light filled, warehouse in inner city Newstead. The flexible floor plan includes an open kitchen, front and back dining areas and a small rear courtyard and garden.
