Ottawa Chinese Cooking Studio helps make your dream come true. We teach Chinese, Japanese, Thai, Indian, Korean and Vietnamese cuisine, including vegetarian cooking.
All of our classes are hands-on, and start from scratch. In our cooking classes, we show and teach cooking skills, and talk about culture.
Each class is full of fun and information, and everyone participates in cooking activities. During class, all students eat the dishes they have made together, along with some complimentary items. If there are any leftovers, people may choose to take them home.

Every student participates in making all dishes being taught in class;
Each class is also a dinner, including all the dishes the students made, and a number of complimentary items.
With your hands-on experience in class and the detailed recipes of the dishes, you are expected to be able to cook independently at home.
What We Provide:
Copies of the detailed recipes of dishes to be taught;
All ingredients needed for the menu;
Knives, cutting boards, and embroidered aprons to be used in class;
Some complimentary rice, tea, chili sauce, wasabi, pickled ginger, fortune cookies and so on, depending on the menu;
All necessary tableware for eating in class, and food containers for take-home if there are any leftovers.
The names and locations of stores where selling the ingredients you would need for cooking at home.
In this class we’re going to make our own filling, our own wrappers , steam them to perfection and fry until golden.
Learn the basics of the Chinese art of noodle pulling - Lamian.
Learn how to properly curdle tofu, the techniques of pressing tofu and how to balance flavours with spices. You will also learn proper temperature control when cooking tofu to achieve a pleasant umami.
Learn to create your favourite Thai and Chinese dishes! This lesson will be conducted by our Chefs, Noy and Yen. They will show you a quick and easy way to make mouth-watering popular Thai dishes and Chinese Dumplings
Learn to make this awesome comfort food from scratch, down from blending the sauce from raw materials to marinating chicken and making an entire dish! Served with mixed grain rice!Â
