  • Our story begins with a love of family and passion for food. After immigrating from Sicily, Italy, in 1951 in pursuit of a better life for their family, brothers Tommy, Joe and Gus Longo opened their first store on Yonge Street at Castlefield in 1956. What began as the neighbourhood fruit market is now a thriving business with 36 locations and an e-commerce grocery delivery service under the longo’s banner. Today, our family-operated business attributes much of its success to the guiding principle established in 1956 years earlier – we will only serve others what we can confidently serve our own families.
