Cooking together is a wonderful way to bond with friends, family, and colleagues. The focus of my classes is to have fun but also teach a completely new culinary skill that you can repeat, adapt, and enjoy for many more meals! The classes create a chance for you to have a shared experience and are run at a relaxed pace giving you time to chat and laugh as you cook. Of course, there is always the eating and enjoying the food afterward… together you will proudly sit down to your mouthwatering feast!
You will also learn how to make the perfect sushi rice, the most important element of sushi making. You will learn what and where to buy the authentic ingredients as well as how to store them.
It's not always raw fish, you can also use cooked fish or just vegetables for home cooking.
Firstly, our chef will show everyone the techniques of preparing and cooking your own Sumeshi sushi rice. Then the class will be shown how to prepare a range of different sushi, beginning by making your very own cured Salmon and Cucumber Nori Maki roll, accompanied with Japanese Miso Noodle Soup.
Since it is not all raw fish, there’s no need to fret! Our vegan and vegetarian friends are most welcome to take part. Greenwich Pantry’s fun sushi-making class is the perfect choice for a family and friends reunion!
