In this class you’ll learn how to make a whipped cheesecake, strawberry compote, lemon sponge and a white chocolate mirror glaze.
Class will run for approximately 3.5 hours on Saturday the 21st of of August at 11am. You are not required to bring anything, just wear comfortable, closed toe shoes. You will be provided with a box to take your pastries home.
I'll walk you through and show you every step and then you get to make everything yourself! I (Maxine Scheckter) am a French trained pastry chef, have worked in restaurants and patisseries in Wellington (Logan Brown), Paris (Gateaux Thoumieux) and London (The Fat Duck and Sketch). I hope to share my passion and teach others to create beautiful food.

This 3 hour course is an interactive Cheese Demonstration class which involves making and tasting 5 soft cheeses - Ricotta, Feta, Camembert, Neuf Chatel and Mascapone.
This is a specialist workshop for those wanting to learn to make their own fresh Mediterranean cheeses. You will prepare three cheese products and then prepare and eat a meal using the cheeses. There will be cheese to take away, so please bring a couple of containers to carry it away.
In the Cheese Making Workshop, you will discover the fine and complex art of cheese making with a different repertoire of cheeses.
