At Vetri we believe no chef is too young to start learning important skills and using their creativity to prepare a nutritious meal. For this very special class, we are inviting younger chefs (children in grades 3 to 5) to our Vetri Cucina kitchen to experience an incredible morning of cooking
At Vetri we believe no chef is too young to start learning important skills and using their creativity to prepare a nutritious meal. For this very special class, we are inviting younger chefs (children in grades 3 to 5) to our Vetri Cucina kitchen to experience an incredible morning of cooking alongside two of our favorite culinary team members, Amanda Shulman and Jacob Rozenberg.
Chef Amanda and Jacob will guide the class through preparation of fresh pizza dough, creation of their own sauce and selection of toppings to complete their very own masterpiece.
The group will enjoy a delicious pasta lunch and continue their experience with learning how to bake our favorite cookies. Students will take with them recipes and pizzas to go, so they can share with their family members both their delicious creations and the culinary skills to build on for years to come.
Vetri Cucina has the longstanding reputation as being one of the most respected and influential Italian restaurants in the country.
After years of working in the finest kitchens in Italy and the U.S., Chef Marc Vetri returned home to his native Philadelphia and took up residence in the intimate, historic townhouse that was once home to the lauded Le Bec-Fin. Together with his business partner, Jeff Benjamin, they opened Vetri Cucina’s doors in September of 1998.
Over the past two decades the restaurant has continued to offer outstanding rustic fare, handcrafted pastas, innovative flavor combinations and artful presentations inspired by Italian cuisine. Throughout this time, Marc and Jeff have been honored to give back to the city through their work with the Vetri Community Partnership.
