An important element of enjoying your time in the kitchen is your skill and ease of preparing the ingredients. Learning the basics of safe knife handling and the basic cutting techniques will be enjoyable and make you more efficient.
We’ll cover mincing, chopping, slicing, and dicing to get the best yields out of your produce. From the basic shapes of planks, sticks, and cubes you can go on to create appealing structure in every dish.
You will practice on onions, carrots, peppers, and garlic which you will take home as a delicious base for a soup or sauce.
During the demonstration portion of the class, we will provide a beautifully composed Salmon Salad Niçoise.
Alcoholic beverages are available for purchase via card payment only.

Safety:
In compliance with state and federal directive, it is our policy to verify vaccination status for all events at Hot Stove Society. Proof of vaccination will be required for entry for everyone over 12 years of age. We require that you bring a mask to wear when you are moving about in our kitchen and may remove it when eating. Our staff is fully vaccinated and will wear masks except when presenting on the demonstration stage. Effective 10/04/2021.
Refund Policy:
Once a class is purchased it is non-refundable. The ownership, however, is yours and you may send someone else in your stead.
Important Class Information will be emailed prior to class. Emails can get caught in spam filters or blocked entirely, contact us if you have not received the class information.
Please let us know about any allergens or dietary restrictions ahead of time to best accommodate you. Note that some classes require specific ingredients in the recipes and may not be offered any substitutions.

Knife Skills 101 Class is offered by LK Culinary for all ages and skill levels. Have 5 star cuisine on your terms in the comfort of your own home. We offer a wide variety of cuisines to fit any occasion. Chef Luke works closely with his clientele to develop custom menus every time to suit any event
This class covers basic knife skills such as how to hold a knife to chopping, dicing, and slicing, not to mention those fancy cooking show cuts like “chiffonade” and “julienne.” We’ll also discuss sharpening, storage, and care.
Knife Skills class is offered by The Kitchen Nashville. Practice your knife skills - learn to slice, dice, chop, mince, and julienne. All class registration fees are non-refundable. We encourage you to send someone in your place if you cannot attend a class.
Knife Skills lessons are offered by Edible Artistic Abilities In You. You’ll learn a new skill, hopefully, have a great time and leave at the end of the day with something you’ve created on your own. If you’re not having fun cooking, then I am not doing our jobs right!
In this class we will learn the basics, we will also learn how to prepare 3, simple, weeknight dishes, using no more than 6 ingredients each.
