This class provides a relaxed and inviting environment for Junior Chefs to gain confidence in the kitchen. Chefs leave with a dinner to serve their families and skills to last a lifetime . The menu includes Sheet Pan Quesadillas & Spanish Rice enabled the chefs to learn:
how to know when ground beef is fully cooked and safe to eat
how to make your own taco seasonings ~ no more store bought mixes full of preservatives
beginner knife skills/safety with additional toppings for the quesadillas
how to read a recipe and follow multi step directions
Welcome to the kitchen! I’m a former elementary school teacher turned chef~ after graduating from the Schoolcraft College Culinary Arts program ten years ago, I blended my love of education and cooking and The Simple Kitchen was born.
I teach cooking/baking classes for all ability levels for ages Pre-K thru adult. Small group instruction is our specialty, providing detailed lessons and interactive classes. Hope to see you in the kitchen!
