Padmaja is a Civil Engineer by profession and also a Chef and food writer. Paddy (as she is known) loves home cooking and has infectious enthusiasm for authentic Indian cuisine. In 2008, she was a winner on the BBC 2 programme ‘Step Up to the Plate’ which challenges the talents of upcoming chef against Paul Rankin and John Burton Race.

Paddy spent her childhood eating authentic Indian food. Her cooking style is simple, authentic and flavorsome. She has an experimental style, which incorporates trying new techniques and methods to provide her own twist on traditional Indian recipes.
