Our range of skills based cookery lessons are carefully planned to help to guide and inspire you so that you can feel confident enough to replicate what you've learnt at home.
In this class, you'll learn to cook
Chicken satay
Beef masaman curry (making curry paste from scratch)
Under the guidance of your tutor, you'll be given top tips on spices and Thai ingredients, and all of the dishes that you make in the class can be taken home to enjoy (enough for 2 adults). You'll also get to have a taster of the dishes cooked by your tutor in The Cooking Shed with a complimentary glass of wine.

Welcome to The Cooking Shed. A cookery school providing lessons and private dining experiences in and around West Wickham, Bromley, and Kent for adults and children. We offer a real hands on experience in relaxed environments - whether it's butchery, bread making, or learning from a Mum who's great at nutritious, affordable family meals. Join us at the end of the garden, in the comfort of your own home, or in fabulous foodie locations across Kent and London to learn new skills, and have a great time.
The Cooking Shed is located in West Wickham, Kent. The full address and directions will be provided to you upon confirmation of your booking - please take note of your class location as not all classes take place in The Cooking Shed.
This fun, Saturday morning class is an opportunity to spend time cooking together, learning new recipes.
After enjoying a welcome cuppa and pastry with your fellow classmates, our chef will share the tips and tricks to creating authentic Thai dishes including how to perfect the balance of flavour, plus you’ll discover how and why some of these dishes are slightly adapted in each region.
We take you on a journey through Asia to Thailand to learn about all the different herbs and spices to make truly delicious and fragrant meals.
Join us at Waterman House Cookery School to explore the tastes of Thailand.
Arrive at 9.45 am for coffee or tea whilst you watch a short demonstration and run through the day’s recipes. You will then cook dishes that will be suitable for lunch, which you can enjoy with a glass of wine.
