The Spice of Life crochet blanket from Sandra Paul of Cherry Heart is a wonderful blanket which covers a range of techniques and stitches and is intended to help someone who has learnt the basics of crochet and is now looking to increase their crochet confidence.

This class is designed for people who have never held a crochet hook before. Learning the basics and creating a granny square. We can teach left and right handed.

Using modern machines and equipment, patchwork and quilting has never been so easy. We will cover various techniques which will be ideal for those who have never tried piecing or quilting before. These blocks can be used to make a bag, a cushion cover, or we can really go for it and plan a quilt.

This one day workshop is for those who want to learn the art of knitting. Whether for babies, children, adults or the home, this is a good place to start.

Join us for an introduction to sock knitting. During this full day workshop you will learn all the skills required to knit a full sized sock, whilst knitting this mini version.

You will learn the basics of crochet; how to hold the hook and yarn, chain stitch, single, double and treble stitches. You will produce pretty little squares which can be linked together to create a cushion, scarf, etc. You will gain all the skill you need to continue your masterpiece at home.

This class is suitable for total beginners – no knitting or crafting experience is required. You’ll be taught how to use your arms as knitting needles and you’ll create your whole blanket before the workshop has ended (approximately 150cm x 90cm).
