Do you have a passion for creating delightful baked goods and dream of a career in the baking industry? At the Kitchen of Purpose Baking Training Program, we're here to help you turn that dream into a reality. Our mission is to empower aspiring bakers like you with the skills, knowledge, and hands-on experience necessary to excel in the world of baking.
We Are Kitchen of Purpose
Our Mission is to use the power of food to create social and economic change in low-income communities.
We believe that unemployment, obesity, diabetes, and food waste are problems that we can start to solve in sustainable ways by designing and implementing innovative programs to help disadvantaged members of minority groups. Kitchen of Purpose is here to help.
We have gathered a group of professionals, experts in social issues and development effectiveness, as well as chefs, social workers, nutritionists, and experts in business development, all big dreamers who believe that integrating minorities in this journey will make a difference in our community.
In our French croissant baking class, chef Jenna will go over the necessary ingredients to create the perfect classic croissants, how to select quality ingredients, how to work and shape the dough, how to properly laminate it with butter and go over proper proofing and natural fermentation methods.
Pastry Making class is offered by Cook. COOK celebrates the craft of cooking, drinking and gathering at the table. Programming ranges from intimate, demonstration-style dinners led by A-list chefs and restaurateurs to knife and butchering skills.
Virtual Baking Classes are offered by Savor patisserie. Savor also ships its award-winning French macarons all over the United States and offers macaron baking classes.
Oui, oui, we absolutely love these gems of pâtisseries! Learn the history of these classic pastries from various regions of France, practice the techniques needed to produce them at home, and receive tips on modifying these delicious bites to different flavors.
First up, you’ll enjoy these zesty lemon, shrimp and avocado crostinis followed by chicken, spinach and asiago cheese in puff pastry (we use the frozen kind) with a port wine reduction sauce. Room for dessert? Chocolate lava cakes steal the show!
