Learn how to create each element of a traditional Indian feast with our Ashoka Cook School Masterclass, which will take place in our custom built cook school in the heart of Glasgows West End. In this 2.5 hour lesson you will be guided through the recipe for each dish by one of our Ashoka Restaurant Chefs.
Following the class you will get to taste the fruits of your labour and ask your chef any questions your may have. Chicken Tikka Masala supposedly originated from…Glasgow! This class will give you the skills and knowledge to recreate some of your restaurant favourites in our own kitchen.
Dishes included in class
At our Ashoka Cool School kids classes your little chefs can learn to make Chicken Tikka,Vegetable Pakora, pakora sauce and a chapati. Classes last an hour and a half and are suitable for 5 - 12 year olds.
There’s no need to worry about your little ones getting their hands on any sharp objects or heated equipment, as the chefs will take care of chopping and cooking.

Once we teach you the tips and tricks, show you the spices, explain the techniques and demonstrate the fundamentals, we set you off to cook your own dish.
It’s really not hard to see why this is one of our most sought after classes. To begin, under excellent tutelage by one of our experience chefs, you will make classic ‘Pyaaz Pakoras’, with a delicious ‘Dhaniya-Pudina chutney’, and a spicy coriander and mint dip.
These evening cooking classes are a great way to brush up your skills in the kitchen. They take place one night a week, for five weeks. We hold both Beginner’s and Intermediate courses.
