A cookery course at Prashad brings you into the professional kitchen to meet Head Chef Minal.
Together you’ll explore the flavour profiles and techniques used to bring that Prashad finesse into every dish.
Your cookery course is a demonstration day, where Minal talks you through her every action as she weaves modern touches and culinary flair into a rich tapestry of inherited Gujarati recipes, explaining the steps she takes every day to put fabulous food on the plate.
Minal Patel has been the head chef at Prashad for over thirteen years now. She is completely focused on developing the Prashad food experience, blending Indian food with modern fine dining.
She is committed to using as much local produce as possible. Her mentors are Gordon Ramsay and Atul Kochhar, both of whom she has had the pleasure of working with.
Our family heritage is Gujarati. Authentic North West Indian recipes are therefore what we know, and love – they are our foundation.
Handed down by generation upon generation, we take this intricate food heritage and put our own twist on the recipes, creating something at once traditional and new. Our Head Chef Minal conjures up new and creative twists on the foundational recipes we’ve inherited.
