Rama foods cookery club is based in Stratford Upon Avon, a medieval market town situated on the banks of River Avon.
It is famous as the birthplace of William Shakespeare, probably one of the greatest English poets and authors of plays such as Romeo and Juliet, and Julius Caesar.
It is a great way to mix up your cookery session with local sightseeing if you are visiting Stratford for a few days. We can also assist you in finding a suitable place to stay in Stratford, just ask at the time of booking the session.
The classes are conducted in the Bishopston community center in small groups of 4-6 people. We also cater for bigger groups and team buildings or 121 sessions by separate arrangements. It is half a day course starting with a brief introduction followed by a presentation on Indian cuisine. It includes the history of Indian cuisine, how it came to the UK, and different cooking techniques used in Indian cuisine. Spices are the essence of Indian cooking and therefore also include spice masterclass. Next, we wash our hands, put on our Aprons, and head on to our kitchen for a hands-on cookery session where you prepare a full Indian Menu from scratch in a group under the guidance of our expert chef. We learn to make everything fresh and even our Punjabi vegetable samosa pastry is made from scratch.
At the end of the cookery session, we present the food in a buffet style and after you have clicked enough selfies with the food, everyone takes home enough food to share for two people. All the recipes, ingredients, and equipment are provided by us.
