This class is incredible! It's a combination of flavours and spices guaranteed to get those taste buds dancing. The Moroccan class is inspired by Fiona's travels overseas and is a blend of her Mediterranean and Indian influences.
We are so excited to bring this incredible plant-based Moroccan inspired masterclass to you. At this class we share my passion of the Mediterranean diet with these incredible Moroccan flavours. It’s an absolute privilege to bring these recipes to life with our plant-based spin.
This class is ideal for someone simply looking to add more plant-based meals to table. And if you love Moroccan flavours, and aren’t plant-based, we promise you won’t even miss the meat in the full bodied, packed with flavour recipes.
Wholesome Bellies’ classes are for all levels as all recipes are simple, using only a few key ingredients.
Classes are very personal and run by Fiona at our new venue at Woolloongabba. We take things slow, we have an absolute ball and then sit down to a relaxed light lunch (made by Wholesome Bellies). You’ll leave the class with a full tummy and a full heart.
Our Menu
Hi, I’m Fiona, a passionate plant-based, home cook.
Wholesome Bellies was created from my passion for healthy eating and cooking. A home cook since my teens, I grew up in the hospitality industry, spending most weekends since my early teens at our family restaurant. My mum was the head chef and I was surrounded by incredible cooks.
Wholesome Bellies is a resource to help you create simple, nourishing, plant-based meals in your kitchen. My intention is to inspire you to fall in love with vegetables, and learn how to transform plants into mouth-watering, unbelievable meals your friends and family will keep coming back for.
In this Moroccan Tagine cooking class we will all cook & share the feast: Moroccan Chicken Tagine, pasty wrapped ‘brik’ egg, Tomato & capsicum salad, Lamb Tagine, Couscous, Moroccan Doughnuts.
Come and engage all your senses in our Moroccan Cooking Class, as you learn how the Moroccans use their colourful and complex spices, such as the famous ‘ras el hanout’, the ‘head of the shop’, the aromatic spice blend which consists of as many as 24 different spices.Â
The class starts with an in-depth introduction into the world of spice. You will select, store and treat them which is essential to create complex sweet-savory flavors and to justify why Moroccan cooking is often considered one of the world’s greatest.
Cinnamon and sugar spiced chicken pastries. Moroccan spiced flathead skewers with minted yoghurt sauce. Prawn, mussel and chickpea tajine.
