QCTO (Part Qualification) Kitchen Hand course is offered by JHB Culinary & Pastry School. JHB Culinary & Pastry School opened its doors in June 2012 under the leadership of Kelvin and Jarlyne Joel.

After many years in the industry Chef Kelvin identified a need in the industry for chefs who had both qualification and experience.

 

Course Modules:

  • Personal hygiene and safety 

  • Food safety and quality assurance 

  • Kitchen Assistance 

  • Food Preparation Methods 

  • Food preparation processes and procedures

  • Food Production implementation

  • Food Safety

 

On-Site Training:

  • This part qualification consists of Knowledge modules, Practical modules and Workplace modules ?

  • Workplace modules will be conducted off- site and learners will be placed in reputable restaurants, hotels and cafés?

 

Learning Path:

  • Once this qualification is achieved you may proceed to enroll for the Cook Qualification

Candidate may proceed to enroll for the following qualifications: ?

  • Cook Qualification 

  • Chef Qualification
