Thomas School of Dance is located in Central Victoria, Bendigo and is in close proximity to Ulumbarra Theatre and the Central CBD.
Thomas School of Dance is now in its 19th year of operation. In this time, the students of Thomas School of Dance have achieved great success at Eisteddfods around Australia and also fantastic exam results.
They take great pleasure in creating a professional end of year performance at the Capital Theatre which enriches the students’ love of performance and provides the Bendigo community with an opportunity to support and observe its up and coming performing artists.​
The teaching staff at Thomas School of Dance pride themselves on the fact that all students’ wants and needs are catered for, offering an array of classes for those who want to dance “just for fun” and also for those wanting to study exams or compete in Eisteddfods.
The school is located in Gaol Road, in the heart of the Bendigo Arts Precinct. Enrolments are welcome at any time of the year.
Stretch and Strength classes are a pivotal part of a dancers training. These classes combine safe dance practice, with flexibility exercises and strength exercises to supplement other styles and make our dancers prepared for the physical demands of the art form.
We start at the very beginning, with body conditioning, building strength and learning some physics! If your last handstands were at 7 years of age – this class is for you! By the end of this course you will be able to confidently handstand! Terrified? Don’t panic, you are in good hands, Jacint...
Strength & Stretch is a fitness class where you will build strength specifically to help you on your aerial apparatus through conditioning exercises but it will also be useful for general dance, fitness and pole members.
Full body flex, stretching and strengthening for the entire body using active, static and other proven methods with focus on gaining the splits.
Dance Fit is a 45 min class that will leave you energized, pumped and wanting to move more – that’s how we were designed to start with, right? None of us was meant to sit for long periods of time, we are supposed to get out there and explore, hunt and live!
