Course Details

Fan of sushi? Learn how to make your own with renowned chef Yoshiko Takeuchi, who has 20 years of experience teaching, is the author of two Japanese health-food cookbooks, and has worked in some of Sydney’s top kitchens.

Using top-quality Japanese ingredients, you will follow traditional methods replicable at home, including essential Japanese seasonings, cooking techniques, and a variety of yummy recipes.

 

Some techniques you'll learn:

  • Thin roll
  • Thick roll
  • Inside out roll
  • Nigiri


You'll also learn to make tasty fillings like tempura, and treat yourself to a sushi lunch with miso soup and matcha green tea. Life doesn't get much better than this!

Also, all of Yoshiko's classes (except the "Japanese Cooking Class (Advanced)") are suitable for vegans.

  • Reservations may be transferred to another available class if more than 30 days’ notice is given.
  • If you cannot make it to your reserved class, you are welcome to send someone in your place.
  • Cancellations are not refundable.
  • Booking is essential and is subject to availability.

What to bring:

  • Please bring an apron and wear closed shoes. For those without one, aprons are available to rent for $5. Everything else will be provided.
