The Chocolate Den was established in the early 1980s by Felicity Phillips. It was the first of a kind shop in South Africa offering chocolate moulds, moulding chocolate, fillings and packaging to everyone and anyone who wanted to mould and create delicious chocolates.
With a keen eye on innovative new items The Chocolate Dens' friendly and fantastic staff continues to grow and develop new products. Chocolate classes which have been taught from the onset of the business continue today along with cake icing classes, baking and cooking lessons.
The Level 2 Diploma in Culinary Arts is for those who wish to work in the hospitality industry and already have knowledge of the basic principles of kitchen work, or who can demonstrate commitment and enthusiasm to work and study in order to supplement their existing knowledge.
This programme is more specialised and provides in-depth knowledge of the Culinary Arts
The Professional Culinary Arts Diploma is an accredited City and Guilds Diploma that span over 18 months.
This program is for those who want to advance their cooking skills for the home cooked meals and baking
This is a two year, full–time City and Guilds/QCTO accredited course that was established by Chefs for Chefs to provide students with a comprehensive programme in all disciples relating to the production of quality cuisine and the ability to manage a kitchen.
