Security Training For Seafarers With Designated Security Duties (STSDSD) course is offered byR L Institute Of Nautical Sciences. Established in the year 1999, RLINS is one of the reputed maritime training institutes in the Southern part of India.

The course covers the competency required, as given in the table A-V/1-1-1 of the STCW code adopted by the International Convention on Standards of Training, Certification and Watch keeping for seafarers, 1978 as amended in 2010.

This training is intended to ensure that seafarers are aware of the hazards of working on a vessel and can respond appropriately in an emergency.
