Unisa offers Portuguese Language and Culture to enhance students' aptitude in the four language skills: reading, writing, listening and speaking Portuguese from intermediate to advanced level. Specific writing techniques and strategies; letter writing, summaries, compositions, etc.

The Purpose of this module is to broaden and deepen the student's knowledge of French grammar, which will further enhance the aptitude in the four language skills from a lower intermediate level to an intermediate level.

To equip students to develop skills and competencies to read, write and communicate in Arabic at an elementary level. Students who successfully complete this module will recognize basic Arabic script, acquire a basic vocabulary and grammar and communicate at an elementary level.

Unisa is offering this module to develop students' basic knowledge and skills of Chinese pronunciation, using common and simple Chinese expressions in everyday life, and writing Chinese characters.

The purpose of this module is to prepare qualifying students with general principles and rules applicable to communicating in Afrikaans as a foreign language in a variety of settings.

This qualification consists of 30 modules. Students should note that during the course of their studies they would be required to have access to a computer or laptop, printer and the internet.

Students will gain detailed knowledge of the infrastructure of e-commerce, the creation and establishing of web pages; and knowledge of how the basic internet structure relates to and supports e-commerce and trading online.

The Programme in Disaster Management is tailor-made for people working in the field of disaster, risk and emergency management in either the public (all spheres of government) or private sector such as: disaster and risk managers, development officials, departmental line-functions, paramedics

The primary purpose of the qualification is to provide qualifiers with graduate-level knowledge, specific skills, applied competence and the necessary attitudes in the fields associated with commerce and industry that prepare them to be lifelong learners.
