In this afternoon workshop with Nick, you will learn elements of design and character development. You’ll then put them to use by creating your own unique piece. No sewing skills are needed as the basics of sewing will be covered.

In the fashion industry quality patterns are the first step to making quality garments. Students will learn to draft professional patterns that conform to current industry standards.

Our west end sewing studio is fashioned with 4 large cutting tables, a spacious change room and a  large retail area with fabrics from poplar designers. This is the perfect introductory course into the exciting world of machine sewing. Beginner Sewing Level 1 has been designed to teach you the basic fundamentals of sewing. In this course you will be honing these skills while making a lined tote bag with a zipper opening and front pocket.

In Apparel Construction students will be working on their desired project(s), within their sewing level, whether it’s intermediate or advanced, our expert sewing instructors will help guide them towards mastering the different sewing techniques and push their design boundaries.
