COURSES OFFERED BY FIRE & SAFETY TRAINING LTD

We deliver realistic training for industry and the general public. Training is on our site or at a venue to suit the group. When you come to our site, we have a number of realistic fire scenarios set up. After a short classroom session and demonstration.

This training is designed for people who need to use BA sets for their employment, or members of industrial rescue squads. It is assessed against unit standard 25044: Wear and operate compressed air breathing apparatus in the workplace.This is a half day course.  

This training is aimed ensuring workplaces are compliant. Department Heads, Section Leaders, Shift Managers and appointed Evacuation Wardens gain an appreciation of the risks of fire and their responsibilities. They will learn about the causes of fire, the action to be taken and correct evacuation...

We register all units with NZQA as soon as you complete your course.  And our trainer’s help and support doesn’t stop at this point: you’re welcome to ring and discuss your on-going height work issues with them. We  deliver and assess the following Unit Standards.

Our one day course will provide trainees with the knowledge and skills they need to operate these machines safely and effectively.

The Permit to Work system is designed to protect people, assets and the environment from any danger or damage when work that carries risk is performed. It documents a contract between the Permit Issuer and the Permit Receiver.

This is US 17602 Apply hazard identification and risk assessment procedures in the workplace.  The content of this course compliments the Permit to Work course, as those issuing (or receiving Permits) must understand the processes involved in identifying hazards and controlling risk. 

This course covers the provisions of the HSWA and regulations, and provides candidates with the knowledge and skills to apply this to their workplace.
