This course develops the four language skills of listening, speaking, reading and writing with emphasis on communicative competence. Basic concepts of German culture are introduced.

Our Italian program has two distinct missions: to provide instruction in the Italian language at all levels of competence, and to lead students to a broad appreciation and deep understanding of the literature and culture of Italy.

Students will learn basic conversational skills, numbers, days of the week, months of the year, introductory phrases, how to express one's interests, describe one's family, and how to form sentences using common adjectives, nouns, and verbs.
