Hip hop dance primarily performed to hip-hop music and includes notably breaking, locking, popping, jerking, house and tutting.

The number one dance associated with hip hop is breakdancing. While breakdancing consists of moves close to the ground like side-freezes, six-step, baby-freeze and pilot-freeze.

Acrobatic Dance combines the suppleness of a contortionist with the gracefulness of a dancer and has been taught and performed in SA for more than 50 years.

Modern can be seen as the foundation on which every dancer's skills are built.

"Tap" is the sound which is made by the shoes striking the dancefloor.
