The Institute of Occupational Safely and Health's Managing Safely is for managers and supervisors in any sector, and any organisation.

On successful completion of the qualification, a Certificate holder with five years experience in a Health and Safety role may apply for Technician membership (Tech IOSH) of the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH), the major UK professional body in the field.

This course is aimed at those who use substance hazardous to health at work and introduces delegates to the hazards associated with those substances, the risks and controls available and what to expect from a COSHH assessment.

Whilst the dangers of electricity at work are well known many employees operate equipment in dangerous conditions and methods, unaware of the potential consequences.

This course covers fire prevention, means of escape, detection and warning systems. Also covered is the safe storage of chemicals and Highly Flammable Liquids (HFL) and Liquid Petroleum Gas (LPG) Regulations.

The course is designed for those persons who have been nominated as Fire Wardens and is designed to satisfy the ‘additional requirements’ of the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005.

This programme is aimed at managers and employees who work within the construction and facilities management sectors to raise their awareness of the health risks associated with asbestos, and the controls necessary to prevent exposure to employees.

This course helps delegates identify the risks and controls necessary to prevent the exposure of people to the infection.

It is particularly useful for managers and supervisors but it will be equally beneficial to individual workers, team leaders, technicians, engineers or any other personnel contributing to the risk assessment process.

A number of people are killed or seriously injured in confined spaces each year in the UK. This happens in a wide range of industries, from those involving complex plant to simple storage vessels.
