This is a graded system whereby students are learning scales, triads, ear training, sight reading, clapping rhythms, pitch memory, classical pieces etc.
The keyboard program is also a graded curriculum complete with exams and diplomas. We try to balance books and fun in order to inspire our students to achieve a good foundation of technique, theory and repertoire.
Our guitar students can read music and understand the theory of how music works and why certain notes and/or chords fit into certain keys. Their fingers are strong and their habits are good!Â
The Conservatory offers lessons on 4, 5 or 6 string bass.
This vocal program can build confidence and self esteem. Learning how to project your voice with confidence and finesse is one of the greatest benefits of studying voice here.
This program utilizes technical studies, ear training, sight reading and repertoire to ensure progress. We accept students as young as 5 years old.Â
Students learn how to play beats and rhythms to popular songs on a full drum set Our students learn how to play with other musicians and some even participate in our band classes
Music theory is an integral part of music education. Understanding music notation is the foundation of playing an instrument with precision. It not only complements and enhances practical studies, but also stimulates development and a greater understanding of music.
In the beginning, students are tested for their ability to hear the difference between high and low pitches. Two notes are played side by side and the highest or lowest must be identified.Â
All of our students have the option to participate in band classes. Students audition for these classes and are put into groups according to age and style preference
