Learn the art of beautiful writing at this 1-day workshop. Calligraphy is an art form which has been enjoyed for centuries. It is a very relaxing form of craft as well as providing an opportunity to produce work which everyone can enjoy.
This course is suitable for you if you are new to making pottery. You will complete a series of short projects in which you will learn to plan, make and decorate several types of hand built decorative and useful pots. We cover the techniques of pinching, coiling, slab-work and construction.
The French Level 1 course is suitable for learners with some prior experience of the language, for example anyone who completed the French Beginners Plus course here at the Folk House, or those who have learned French for a couple of years and are ready to move on from the basics.
This level is for students who have completed Beginners Plus or studied the equivalent elsewhere. If you are unsure of your level we strongly recommend that you check with the tutor before enrolling, as it is not always possible to transfer you after a course has started.
This course is for learners who already have some knowledge of the language, familiar with the use of Pinyin and can recognise some characters, be able to do simple self introduction and have basic conversation about name, nationalities, age, profession, time, and weather.
This is for students who have completed Level 1 and Level 2 Italian, or the equivalent elsewhere. A good level of Italian in speaking, reading, and conversation is required. The programme will include reading Italian literature.
