The Bachelor of Accounting prepares you with professional skills to become an accountant or work in a range of roles that rely on accounting knowledge.

The course focuses on the knowledge and skills required for practice as a certified practising accountant or chartered accountant along with effective management, accountability and control, and effective decision-making for financial success.

This qualification provides the skills and knowledge for a person to be competent in skilled operations, and team leading or supervision. Work is undertaken in various hospitality settings such as restaurants, hotels, motels, clubs, pubs, cafes and coffee shops.

This qualification reflects the role of individuals in the accounting and bookkeeping industry, including business activity statement (BAS) agents and contract bookkeepers; and for those employees performing bookkeeping tasks for organisations in a range of industries.

This program is delivered over a period of 3 years. The length of time to complete this qualification will depend on the location, study mode and/or units selected and will vary depending upon how long a student takes to reach the required competency level.
