In this course, students will learn about the value-added roles of warehouses, warehousing activities, storage and handling equipment, the role of communication technologies, people management and the latest warehouse trends.
Students will be exposed to project management phases (initiation, planning, performing and closing), budgeting, risk management, conflict management, team management, and ethical issues.
This introductory course addresses the basic principles of marketing. Students will learn about the marketing process, customer relationship management, the importance of gaining customer insights, sustainable marketing and ethics.
Students will learn about the procurement operations structure, strategic sourcing, strategic sourcing process, measuring procurement process performance, global procurement and future trends.
This course will introduce students to the economic way of thinking. Students will understand concepts such as; demand and supply, elasticity, efficiency and equity, output and costs, perfect competition and monopoly.
This course will introduce students to the five major decision areas in operations management: process, quality, capacity, inventory and supply chain. Along with this, students will understand the operation’s objectives related to both manufacturing and service organizations.
This course will introduce students to the fundamentals of dependent and independent demand inventory management techniques. Students will apply P and Q inventory management systems to determine to reorder point and optimal inventory levels.
