COURSES OFFERED BY ST. JOHN AMBULANCE SAINT-JEAN

Workers in the oil and gas industry can be exposed to many hazards on a daily basis. St. John Ambulance courses for oil and gas workers help ensure health, safety, and proper education for working in these fields.

Entry into tanks and other confined spaces by workers is necessary for many industrial operations and entry into such confined spaces may present a hazard to the worker.

Construction worksites that are as safe as possible begin with providing basic safety training to all employees. CSTS-09 is the only worker-specific safety program of its kind in the B.C.

After successful monitoring, candidates are authorized to teach first aid courses on their own.

The course covers responding to an emergency; resuscitation for Adults, Children, and Infants; two-rescuer CPR for each all age groups; bag-valve mask use; and responding as part of a team.

This one-day course helps participants better recognize the signs of possible mental health injuries and how/where to get help.
