Over a half day period, Learners will learn basic fire safety principles, including: causes of fires in the workplace, basic fire safety duties and responsibilities, principles of fire risk control, safe use of portable fire-fighting equipment and more.
During this 1 day course, learners will develop a greater understanding of health and safety issues, including: health and safety laws, risk assessments and risk control hierarchy, identifying and controlling risks from common workplace hazards and more.
During this half day course, learners will develop their understanding of the law relating to hazardous substances in the workplace and the precautions and procedures required to ensure hazardous substances are properly controlled.
Over a half day period, successful Learners will develop a greater awareness of manual handling, including: common manual handling injuries, the safe movement principles, theory of safe manual handling principles and manual handling equipment.
During this 1 day course, Learners will gain a basic introduction into the principles of risk assessment. Topics covered include: main causes of work-related fatalities, basic processes for undertaking a risk assessment, key terms associated with risk assessments.
The Level 3 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work course is designed for people who have a specific responsibility at work, or in voluntary or community activities, to provide basic first aid to people in a variety of emergency first aid situations.
The course is relatively short in duration meaning the delegate is not out of the workplace for a long period of time, which is ideal as the course is designed for all members of an organisation from technicians and supervisors, to mid and senior-level management.
This course is delivered in association with SouthWest Health and Safety Nebosh accredited course provider number 1406 and provides delegates with an excellent grounding in health and safety legislation, hazard recognition, practical risk control, and good risk management practices.
This course is aimed at anyone who uses abrasive wheels, or employs people who use abrasive wheels as part of their work. It covers different types of abrasive wheel, safety in their use and how to identify the type of wheel.
