Albanian is an Indo-European language spoken by over 7 million people, primarily in Albania and Kosovo but also in other parts of the Balkans that have a significant Albanian population, such as the east coast of Italy and Sicily, Greece and Montenegro.
Bengali is one of the world’s most widely spoken languages and is native to the area known as Bengal, comprising present-day Bangladesh and parts of India.
Bosnian is one of the official languages of Bosnia & Herzegovina and is also spoken in Bosnia’s neighbouring countries. Standard Bosnian uses both the Latin and Cyrillic alphabets, and the language is similar enough to Croatian.
Bulgarian is an Indo-European language closely related to Serbo-Croatian and Macedonian and spoken by around 7 million people worldwide, mostly in Bulgaria and the Balkans.
Catalan is a Romance language spoken by around 7 million, mostly in Andorra and parts of Spain, France and Italy. In the region of Catalonia, around half the population use Catalan on an everyday basis.
Croatian is a collective term for the standard language spoken by over 5 million Croats in Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and surrounding countries, as well as several dialects closely related to it.
Around 10 million people worldwide speak Czech, predominantly in the Czech Republic and in parts of Slovakia. Similar in some respects to Slovak and other Slavik languages, Czech nevertheless has its own rich literary history and is indispensible for anyone planning to study or travel in Croatia.
Danish is spoken by around 6 million people worldwide, predominantly in Denmark but also in parts of Germany and Greenland as well as among international Danish communities around the world.
Gujarati is spoken by around 65 million people worldwide, mostly in the Gujarat region of India, but also by around 300,000 people right here in Britain. Study Gujarati with LSI in London and learn about the unique Gujarati culture through this ancient and beautiful language.
