Budgets are the foundation of nonprofit finance and are vital to your organization’s strategic planning and management. Budgeting can seem overwhelming, but it doesn’t have to be.

This session is geared toward helping new treasurers and finance committee members (or current ones looking for a refresher) be successful in their role.

While standard nonprofit financial reports – the budget, income statement, and balance sheet – provide important management information, these statements alone do not tell whether there is enough cash on hand to pay for an unexpected expense.

If anything is certain, it is that change in constant. Managing change can impact engagement and outcomes of new directions and actions. While not every change needs to be managed, some changes left unmanaged can have lasting effects upon employees, leaders and the community.
