We deliver realistic training for industry and the general public. Training is on our site or at a venue to suit the group.
This training is designed for people who need to use BA sets for their employment, or members of industrial rescue squads. It is assessed against unit standard 25044: Wear and operate compressed air breathing apparatus in the workplace.
This training is aimed ensuring workplaces are compliant. Â Department Heads, Section Leaders, Shift Managers and appointed Evacuation Wardens gain an appreciation of the risks of fire and their responsibilities.
Working At Height course training is offered by Fire and Safety Training Limited for all skill level. We register all units with NZQA as soon as you complete your course.
Our one day course will provide trainees with the knowledge and skills they need to operate these machines safely and effectively. Our assessors are well qualified and experienced in using and training others to use EWPs.
This course is for people who handle and store chemicals or hazardous substances in the workplace. Â This unit expires at the end of 2022, and can be replaced by one or more of the options below, depending on your needs.
This course is aimed at those in the building trade who require a basic knowledge of the types of products they may come across that can contain asbestos, and an awareness of the health risks of exposure to asbestos.
This course is aimed at Emergency Response Team members, or staff who may be called on as first responders to an accident or incident, and require skills beyond basic first aid training.
Our  confined spaces courses cover NZQA unit standards 18426 Hazards of a confined space and 17599 Plan a confined space entry. We can deliver this training either at our purpose built training sites at Timaru or Napier, or we’ll come to your site and work within your confined spaces.
Fire and Safety Training trains Emergency Response Teams (ERT) as first responders to emergencies for several organisations.
