This telehandler operator training will give a you the knowledge, skills and attributes to operate a telehandler safely. The trainee will be able to demonstrate the appropriate responsibilities of a telehandler operator with emphasis on accident prevention and operator responsibility.

This course will provide a comprehensive understanding of the legislation, regulations and codes of practice relating to electric hoist operations. It will also give you the practical skills needed to identify any associated hazards and apply safe work practices when using an electric hoist to move

At the end of the course, successful participants will receive a A4 certificate and a wallet-sized certificate which remains current for 3 years. We’ll send you a reminder near the end of the 3 year period to let you know it is time to re-do the course to maintain currency of training.

This training is a base level competency-based training. You will need to provide your own HIAB Truck with some load items, and it would be held at our facility at 30 Kioreroa Road.

Trainees will be able to apply theory and skills in lifting and placing loads with a truck mounted crane through theory and practical experience.
