Join our friend artist/designer/author Rose Pearlman as she teaches a modern take on the traditional art of rug hooking

This workshop teaches all the basics of patchwork quilting from piecing the top to assembling the layers and binding all in one afternoon. Some basic sewing experience required; if you've never sewn before you'll want to take an Intro to Sewing Machine workshop first.

This 1.5-hour introductory or refresher class covers all of the how-to-knit basics, namely casting on, knitting, binding off & finishing, while starting your first "real" project from a pattern, a stylish-yet-cozy hat. 

Learn how to crochet for the first time or refresh/increase your skills in one easy sitting. We'll teach you how to work the foundation chain and the basic stitches like half-double, single crochet, double crochet and triple crochet, as well as increasing/decreasing to create a shaped piece of croc...

By mastering just a few easy stitches you'll have the skills to create original works of art using a variety of methods, perk up your wardrobe like jeans and tees and/or be able to complete a design by your favorite needlework artist.
