Students will build on that tradition by learning fundamental seams and finishes used in modern-day garment construction. Industry standards of sewing are emphasized and all techniques are taught and practiced.

This course examines the fundamentals of designing a fashion collection. Students will explore a fusion of conceptual inspiration and technical apparel design and apply real-world practices of marketing plans, competitive research, and costing.

The Fashion Design department provides a unique, interdisciplinary experience that challenges students to bring an artistic and theoretical approach to the work. Students benefit from rigorous artistic and professionally oriented training.
