Ballet is the basis of all dance subjects. Regular classes will provide strength, correct placing, co-ordination, poise & enjoyment of dance. Pupils are taken for this subject from age 4. Good tap technique, rhythm, performance & enjoyment are the aims of these classes. Pupils are entered for Grade Exams & Tap Award Exams with the ISTD. Each tap class performs a routine in the annual show.

hese classes run on Saturdays, and all Spotlight pupils are encouraged to attend. A balance of modern/jazz work is done in these classes, along with musical theatre routines & songs.

This class is designed to introduce youngsters to the world of dance and performance. The class includes basic co-ordinated movements (including balancing, skipping and gallops), partner work, mime-work, singing and space awareness.
