COURSES OFFERED BY VALERIE LISSETTE SCHOOL OF DANCE

From five years old the Graded Syllabus is taught – Beginner Ballet/ Pre-Primary through to Grade Five. 

A fun style in which the dancer wears shoes fitted with heel and toe taps where rhythm and performance are paramount.

From age five, this syllabus progresses to teach dancers a wide variety of jazz styles to popular music.

Contemporary dance involves versatility and improvisation with a strong focus on floor-work and use of gravity.

These classes are designed to introduce students to the wonderful world of Musicals.  

We offer both adult ballet and tap classes, giving you the opportunity to exercise both the body and mind.

A unique experience where children aged 3 and 4 years can learn to dance in a ‘Storybook’ themed class.

Silver Swans® classes have been specifically designed for the over-55s, but whatever your age, this class provides wonderful benefits with elegant exercise to beautiful music, developing good posture, self-esteem and the chance to make new friends.

An open jazz technique class, using dance specific conditioning exercises with a focus on battements, turns and leaps.

Private lessons are available to help students prepare for Exams.
