This course is designed to help delegates to understand what assertiveness is, and when to use it. Assertiveness can improve performance and help with the management of difficult people and situations.
The three hour workshop, run by three facilitators, teaches up to 30 delegates on how to use a structured approach for getting in and out of a conversation with someone who is upset or distressed, while providing basic psychological support.
There are over 4000 Deaf people using British Sign Language (BSL) in the NHSGGC area. By law, we must provide an interpreter for our Deaf patients, both at health appointments and when they are in hospital.
