COURSES OFFERED BY URBAN BODY LASER ACADEMY

Students will be able to demonstrate the knowledge of how to perform laser hair removal treatments safely and effectively. This will include understanding the Fitzpatrick scale, reading hair color and hair type and know how to properly treat clients with the system best suited for them.

Dermaplaning is a physical exfoliation procedure which requires the use of a sterile, surgical scalpel to gently “shave” the skin’s surface, removing the top-most layer of dead skin along with fine, vellus hair (aka peach fuzz).

HydraFacial treatments use water and serums to exfoliate, extract and hydrate skin. Students will learn how to complete HydraFacial's with the HydraFacial MD system.

The course will include information on understanding when it is safe/not safe to treat someone effectively, knowing skin conditions and how to assess and treat complications that arise from these treatments, as well as how to use a Microdermabrasion system effectively.

This will include understanding the correct depth of needles best suited for them and recommending appropriate products to treat the needs of each individual.
