Our  confined spaces courses cover NZQA unit standards 18426 Hazards of a confined space and 17599 Plan a confined space entry. We can deliver this training either at our purpose built training sites at Timaru or Napier, or we’ll come to your site and work within your confined spaces.

The aim of this course is to enable a trainee to identify hazards and controls within confined spaces; develop an emergency procedure plan; and complete the necessary documentation required for a confined space entry.

This course covers what a confined space is, what it is defined as, the types there are along with the hazards and possible causes of death in a confined space.

Trainees will be able to establish planned and safe entry and conduct confined space rescues featuring various scenarios. 

For anyone who hasn’t completed any confined space training we recommend this course to form a good foundation of knowledge. Please note that this is not an NZQA course – it’s better.

This working in confined spaces training course has been designed to prepare learners to work safely and identify the risks associated when working in confined spaces.
