A General Construction Induction Card (commonly known as your White Card) is for anyone who is required to work on a construction site.

White Cards are issued by SafeWork NSW only after completing training in the nationally recognised Unit of Competence:

The unit of competency CPCWHS1001 Prepare to work safely in the construction industry is also known as the “White Card” and is designed for those seeking work or preparing to work in the construction industry.

The white card unit requires the person to demonstrate personal awareness and knowledge of health and safety legislative requirements in order to work safely and prevent injury or harm.

WH&S General Induction for Construction is also known as (Construction) White Card course. Current Work Health & Safety (WHS) Legislation requires all employees working in the Construction Industry, or entering any building or construction site, to be trained in WHS in the workplace.
