Welding training is offered by Hills Training Solutions. Our trainings do not aim at providing the skills needed for one to operate a machine. We also look at training people on managerial and administrative officers to work in the highly demanding mining and construction industry.

The qualifying learner will be able to operate an excavator by understanding the functions of starting, shutting down and operating procedures for the machine.

The person credited with this unit standard is able to identify the safety and suitability of crane type prior to utilisation while applying methods of inspecting and recording the operational fitness of all components of the crane.

Any person credited with this Unit Standard is able to operate a counter-balanced lift truck in a safe manner. They will also be able to conduct pre and post inspections to ensure the performance of the lift truck is maintained.

Operating a lifting machine takes place within a regulatory framework that seeks to ensure safety of the operator, the lifting machine and the lifting machine environment. Telescopic boom handlers are inherently dangerous; hence, their safe operation cannot be overstated.
