Learners wishing to acquire the competencies in this course will be, individuals working at height where there is a risk of injury from a fall. Learners will be involved in performing tasks at height.
The purpose of this course is to provide you with the knowledge and skill needed to apply the requirements of Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) Management Systems, the infrastructure needed to implement it and the HACCP auditing and certification process.
The course equips learners with the basic principles of assessing an emergency situation, contacting the emergency services as quickly as possible and while awaiting their arrival, candidates will be able to perform basic skills required to sustain life.
The course deals with training and facilitation techniques, focused on outcomes-based learning principles. Learners are guided to facilitate adult learning. This course is a prerequisite for licensee registration to current selected NOSA courses.
This workshop is site and product specific. Prior to the training taking place, the facilitator will spend time in the organisation, collecting the various MSDSs that are used and take photos of the hazardous goods storage areas, and the various products that are stored on site.
This qualification is for any individual who is, or wishes to be, involved in the administration function in any organisation or business in any sector, or field, as well as in non-commercial organisations (such as clubs and charitable organisations).
Upon completion of the course, the successful learner will be capable of identifying, containing, preventing and extinguishing different types of fires by operating basic firefighting equipment.
The course is aimed to enable learners to distinguish between an emergency and an incident as well as understanding the different types of emergencies that may take place in the workplace.
On completion of the course, the successful learner will be able to safely operate and use a mobile elevating work platform (MEWP).
On completion of this course, the successful learner will be credited with this unit standard, which means they can demonstrate an integrated practical and theoretical grounding in crane operations.
