Have you recently purchased a machine? Or perhaps you've had one for a while but never known how or where to begin. This class will guide you through the complete set-up of your own sewing machine, giving you a good foundation to take on further projects.
This is a 4 week course designed to take beginners through a variety of projects that showcase and build fundamental sewing skills and techniques.
Can't find the right skirt pattern out there in the shops? Would you like a skirt which fits you perfectly? Abigail Langley is a professional patternmaker who will walk you through the simple steps from taking your measurements right through to the finished sample.
Our after school classes will introduce a love of sewing to those aged 9 and over, including teenagers. Our students learn a variety of basic skills from hand stitching to machine use and then go on to use that knowledge to create their own project.
Our introduction to hand knitting will include topics such as wools & yarns, needles, patterns, gadgets and techniques etc. You will begin by simply learning how to cast on and then learn the basic stitches used by all knitters around the world.
Come and join us for a fab and fun half-day of crochet for beginners which will inspire you beyond the basics. Our beginners class will  give you enough time to learn the stitches you will need to make a granny square so you will be well on your way into the beautiful world of crochet.

Learn how to use and understand a sewing pattern. Develop a knowledge of textiles and become confident when selecting fabric.
You will learn a range of sewing techniques while making three fun and fashionable projects in a friendly small group. In term 1, we will learn how to make a gorgeous backpack, a super-fun, super-sized pencil bolster, and a very useful wall organiser - all the things you need to get ready.
