COURSES OFFERED BY MSS SAFETY

This course covers Confined Space Definition, Legislation, Standards & Code Of Practice, Hazards, Risk Assessment, Control Measures, Roles and Responsibilties, Gas Testing & Ventilation Techniques, Safety Equipment including safety harnesses, Gas Monitors, Access Equipment.

This course is progressively assessed using a variety of written and practical components including inspection, fault finding and troubleshooting of equipment, hazard & risk assessments, use of equipment including climbing and suspension in a harness.

Workers that are expected to use Self Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA), "shall" be considered for retraining "at least annually" or more often depending on the specific circumstances. 

A person conducting a business or undertaking must ensure that electrical work carried out on energised electrical equipment is carried out: by a competent person who has tools, testing equipment and PPE that are suitable for the work, have been properly tested and are maintained in good working

All participants must be able to communicate effectively in English and must be able to complete all required documentation including simulated workplace reports etc
